mie Brooks Fine Arts hosts a pre-oscar 2016 party and opening reception for a group exhibition titled “Shimmer” curated by Eric Minh Swenson.
The show will feature new glitter works by Kelly Berg.
Additional artists include: Kelly Brumfield-Woods, Alice Emmons, Randi Hokett, Jorg Dubin, Eric Johnson, Eric Mesplé, Julia Fernandez-Pol, Kristin Rein, and Diane Nebolon Silver and Katherine Rohrbacher.
Many artists will be attendance showing all new works.

Club TUBTHUMP is bringing the best of the ’90s to Santa Monica with the top rock, grunge and pop hits, along with costume contests, games, themed drink specials, photo booth and more for the inner Cher Horowitz and Fresh Prince in everyone.
Between hair bands and boy bands was a beautiful mess of timeless pop and rock music, and TUBTHUMP is a tribute to that era. For the “MMM-Boppers,” “Hotsteppas,” dancing “No Rain” butterflies and “Smells Like Teen Spirit” teenagers, sounds of the ’90s kid’s Discman will get a second chance at revival at this decade-inspired party.
TUBTHUMP features an assortment of ’90s favorites from classic bands to one-hit-wonders, ranging from hip-hop (Tupac, Snow), to grunge (Nirvana, Sponge), pop (En Vogue, P.M. Dawn) to rock (Hootie, Spin Doctors) spun by DJ Richie Rich.
Hosted at V Lounge, dancers will be “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” until “Closing Time.” The party will also feature 90’s-themed drink specials from 8-10 p.m.
