The aFri-Dec12-VeronicaDeJesus-LastProjectrt of Veronica De Jesus will be featured at LAST Projects in a new exhibit titled “Cars for Your Life.”

In her first solo exhibition the Los Angeles artist explores the complex relationship to cars and car culture.

At tonight’s event, De Jesus has invited three car salesmen from IO WEST LA to pitch 15 car drawings to gallery guests.

Moskowitz Gallery will open itFri-Dec12-MoskowitzGallery-Olympus Opening flyers first large-scale installation titled “Olympus,” by artist Zachary Aronson.

Featuring 12 burned wood towers referencing Greek Mythology and a re-flooring of the gallery, Aronson’s installation will transform the space into an environment of contemplation by revisiting ancient mythologies through the guise of the imaginative experience.

PØST, Los Angeles, presents the 30-minute video performance work of artist Jim Ovelmen, titled Western Skies.

IFrr-Sat-Dec12-13WesternSkiesCardn his Los Angeles showing of this work, which premiered in Asia, Ovelmen combines animation, video, and cinematic delivery with live guitar performance.

Three performance times will occur over two days. Tomorrow’s event will take place at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Video will be projected on a large screen, filling the width of the space, as live solo guitar music is performed.
