Downtown LA Art Parties
Band of Vices debuts a new season of stories featuring some of the city’s finest emerging artists. The Los Angeles Lakers will honor ten artists of color from across the Los Angeles region. This is part of the team’s annual In the Paint art program that acknowledges, and supports artists from historically marginalized communities.

One more in the building…Patricia Sweetow Gallery presents John Paul Morabito: Take Me To Heaven and Ferne Jacobs: A Poetry of Thread. This is John Paul Morabito’s first solo exhibition with the gallery. The title of the exhibition, Take Me To Heaven, reflects the famed Black, Queer, disco icon of the 70’s and 80’s, Sylvester! The solo show will feature woven, beaded tapestries. This will also be the first exhibition with the gallery for the Los Angeles-based artist Ferne Jacobs. Bergamot Station Arts Center
In Santa Monica…The Hulett Collection, in collaboration with FAS44 Gallery and Michael Frey presents its upcoming pop-up exhibition at Marshall Gallery. The solo exhibition features a new series by the Dutch artist Pieter Henket. Titled Congo Tales, it was inspired deep in the Congolese rainforest while working with the people of the Mbomo District. In Beverly Hills...Marc Selwyn Fine Art celebrates the art of the legendary Carlos Almaraz. This is the gallery’s first exhibition of work by the pioneer of the Chicano art movement. Almaraz (b. LA Wild Fires Benefit
Miracle Mile Area…Anat Ebgi originally was set to exhibit Jessica Taylor as well as Alec Egan in January 2025. Unfortunately Egan, lost his home and studio in the LA wildfires. He was in the final days of completing works for his upcoming solo show at Anat Ebgi. Needless to say the artist lost all of his artworks and the show has been rescheduled at a later date. Thankfully he and his wife are safe. Moreover the gallery is offering one of his posters for sale on Anat Ebgi Online Shop. 100% of the funds will go to the artist. The Hammer
