One of LAArtParty’s favorite holiday events is the Montana Holiday Walk. It’s always a fun community event. This year’s holiday walk on December 7, 2018, from 4-8pm. 
The event runs from 6th street to 17th street with live music up and down the street. Each year all the merchants get involved. Locals come out to mingle and ring in the holiday season. Retailers offer all sorts of deals plus many give away cookies, cider, etc. Keep your eyes peeled for Santa Claus as there will be several santas on the Avenue…Check Montana Avenue’s facebook for more info.
Once again, the Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers will be performing this year….we will be strolling up and down the avenue as we sing both traditional and zany re-imaginged holiday carols…plus some of our originals.
Just in case you don’t know who we are….the Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers are a quirky group of professional singers who have been performing with each other for many years.
Below are just a few of the stores that will be participating in the event…but most of them will be open.
Longtime Santa Monica resident Jane Walker loves working at Texture: A Sweater store and More. Walker has lived in Santa Monica for over forty years and worked on Montana Avenue for twenty nine years. She said she loves the close-knit community…and “watching my customer’s kids grow up.”

As always, we need to support our local artists…you’ll find all sorts of unique items here, just right for that special person in your life. One of my favorite shops to buy sweet tasty treats is Le Macaron...you will love these delicate sweets. 
Owner Sixteen Damon is originally from France and knows how to make delicious macarons. Damon said she is looking forward to the holiday event, and enjoys the community spirit on the street. Le Macaron is located at 1301 Montana Avenue at the corner of Euclid.
Kiehl’s on Montana is an old-world apothecary founded 165 years ago in New York’s East Village neighborhood. Here, you can buy some holiday gifts and stocking stuffers.
