de boer Los Angeles 2023 Exhibitions

This is Grace Rosario Perkin’s first solo exhibition with the gallery in Los Angeles, California. A Mirror, A Window, A Songbird consists of new maximalist paintings on canvas in both medium and large scale.

Rosario Perkins, a self-taught Diné/Akimel O’odham painter, disassembles her personal narrative through layered words, objects, colors, and signs, expressing her interest.

About Grace Rosario Perkins

Born in 1986, in Santa Fe, NM, the artist lives and works in Albuquerque. Recent exhibitions include her first solo museum exhibition, The Relevance of Your Data at MOCA Tucson, curated by Laura Copelin, 2022. Two -person and group shows include: Bockley Gallery, Minneapolis (2023); Marvin Gardens, New York (2023); Oakland Museum of California (2019); as well as ONE Archives, Los Angeles (2021).

The Hour of The Star is David Horvitz’s first solo show with the gallery. In this exhibition, the artist engages with concepts of faith, astrology, consumption, and circulation in this photographic project.

About David Horvitz

The artist works in various media – all forms of photographs, as well as artist books, performances, the internet, mail art, sound, rubber stamps, gastronomy, and natural environments. Additionally, his work examines questions of distance between places, people and time. This is done to test the possibilities of appropriating, undermining or even erasing these distances. Using image, text and objects, his works circulate and operate independently of himself, penetrating ever more effectively the intimate sphere.
