History of Airbrush

With its pivotal moment during the Pop Art movement, early-airbrush transitioned seamlessly from its roots in advertising into an art movement. Then, by the late-1950s and into the 1960s, airbrushing became an essential aesthetic of Southern California’s most distinct feature; the automobile. Via Hollywood films, airbrushing became synonymous with individuality as well as personalization. Now, honoring the past by propelling it forward, UNDER PRESSURE celebrates the present and also the future.

UNDER PRESSURE includes works from: CHITO, Devin Reynolds, Gustavo Zermeño Jr., Hank Reavis, Jamie Muñoz, Javier Ramirez, Jasmine Monsegue, Kristofferson San Pablo, Larissa De Jesús Negrón, Left-E, Mario Ayala, Mia Scarpa, OG Abel, OG Magoo, Polo Cutty, and Ryota Daimon, it provides a breath-taking look at the versatility of airbrush.
