CHARLOTTE COTTON: Photography Is Magic – Reframing Photographic Practices
This Keynote lecture draws together current ideas about the use of photography as an invaluable medium in the contemporary art world. From Michele Abeles and Walead Beshty to Daniel Gordon and Matthew Lipps, Cotton will show how artists are consciously reframing photographic practices using mixed media, appropriation and a recalibration of analog processes.

Workshops:
ROGER BALLEN: Fine Art Photography Workshop
In this workshop, you will study with Roger Ballen, one of the most important photographers of the 21st century. This will be a hands on Master Class with shooting sessions, individual assignments, daily group discussion, critiques and editing sessions.

RALPH GIBSON: Photographing the Nude Workshop
Ralph Gibson is one of the most iconic photographers of our time. His unique graphic style is as unmistakable as it is influential. Expand your visual horizons under the guidance of one of the great masters in contemporary photography. Ralph’s high-contrast pictures – usually focusing on one geometric element (the corner of a room) or a single human gesture (the curve of a hand) – form a kind of dream-narrative when gathered together.

KARIN APOLLONIA MÜLLER: Urban and Landscape Photography Workshop

Karin Apollonia Müller is a photographic artist dealing with the notion of “space,” specifically the relationship of the human being to his environment. This workshop will focus on idea and perception. It will present the notion of “space” and “scape” and the tool of photography to document the world surrounding us.
