On Saturday, October 3, 2026 Rock for HARK hosts a very special fundraiser at the Hummingbird Temple in the Hollywood Hills. In addition to the one of a kind venue, the benefit will include music from String Theory, wine and cocktails, as well as appetizers, tacos, and desserts. Moreover attendees will enjoy comedy and magic from the famed Magic Castle. Comedian Wendy Liebman will host. Plus there will be a silent auction with incredible items such as a Fender bass guitar signed by Green Day

Healing Arts Reaching Children

If you don’t know about HARK, it’s a fantastic non profit that brings art into the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. I have featured many fundraising events for them and I highly encourage support for this organization. Originally founded by Karen Sweeney who saw a need for art in the hospital, Laurie Hutton and other longtime volunteers have jumped aboard to help with this mission. HARK has been bringing the joy of creating art into the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for over two decades.

Needless to say guests can view the fruits of this organization’s labor. Artworks painted by children and families at CHLA will be on exhibit at the event.

The Hummingbird Temple

The venue is an architectural wonder set in the hills of Laurel Canyon. So this also great time advantage of the venue and also to help HARK as well as . The Humming Bird temple is a Moroccan-style oasis, and features millions of hand-laid Moroccan tiles. It took over fifteen years to create the 12,500-square-foot house. Looking more like a palace and surrounded by gorgeous ground (and of course humming birds), you will feel immersed in beauty.
