Mount Washington
Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome bring us a performance by the Webern String Quartet. The band includes: Benjamin Hoffman & Chiai Tajima, violins, Alex Granger, viola, Stella Cho, cello. The Webern String Quartet will perform will perform Todd Mason String Quartet No.5 “The Phoenix” (2025), Beethoven String Quartet No.15, Op.132, among others. As an unusual venue it offers a wonderful experience with a vaulted dome of Mount Wilson Observatory’s historic 100-inch Telescope.

In conjunction with Susanna Coffey’s solo show Going Direct, set to open at Serious Topics on September 12, 2026, the artist will be painting en plein air at night for two sessions. Coffey has invited the public to paint alongside her during these events. However, you must contact the gallery and choose a session that you would like to participate in. It’s the final night of a three-night run of Maestro of the Movies: A Tribute to John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl. The legendary composer is known for his iconic music & soundtracks for over six decades. Williams has conducted numerous times at the Bowl. However tonight conductor David Newman will lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic in his honor. Furthermore Bryce Dallas Howard will host the event.
