ICA LA (Institute of Contemporary Art Los Angeles) throws its annual Art Party & Spring Benefit at a special location. Held at the studio of Los Angeles-based artists The Haas Brothers in the valley, this year’s event features art, cuisine, and live music. All funds raised from the Spring Benefit will directly support ICA LA’s exhibitions and Learning & Engagement programs, which provide free access to groundbreaking art and education initiatives to DTLA’s Arts District. Donations are happily accepted, if you cannot make the fundraiser. Mid City
The popular Brassroots District plays its final performance of its current run tonight. The shows take place in conjunction with its self titled album Brassroots District: LA ’74. The immersive theater-concert takes place at Jewel’s Catch One and brings audiences back to the year 1974. Moreover the band released a new single, “Takin’ Back Day Dreamin’,” featuring Robert Randolph. The release follows growing buzz around fan favorite “You Caught Me Baby.” One of our staff attended this experience and absolutely loved it, moreover, he is going back with his wife.

The Robey Theatre Company hosts its final performance of Colored People’s Time: A History Play by Leslie Lee. The play, directed by Ben Guillory, is an examination of the lives of Black Americans from 1865-1958. This is a wonderful theatre founded by Danny Glover and Ben Guillory.
The theatre is located on the third floor of the building, with nearby parking often listed at the Los Angeles Garage Associate Parking Structure.
