Saturday, January 17, 2026 Art Parties & Exhibitions bring us another whirlwind of a day/night. With noted exhibitions opening at Tierra Del Sol, Gallery Luisotti, as well as Marshall Gallery. Of course there are additional shows at LAAA, Marc Selwyn, and Walter Maciel Gallery that I want to point out as well. Moreover, the Broadstage brings us a one man show by Patrick Page. Los Angeles Art Association (LAAA) hosts an all day opening for a group show titled Fact-Finding. The exhibition features an all-media exploration of observation or examination in contemporary art practice. Santa Monica

At Bergamot…Enjoy an art talk as well as the closing art party for SeXObjectsat Craig Krull Gallery. The series of artist talks and guided walkthroughs will celebrate three exhibitions currently on view. The is the last chance for viewers to interact with artists. Here is the full lineup.

  1. A conversation with SeXObjects artists Jean Lowe and Alia Malley, led by curator Hannah Sloan

Another at Bergamot…Marshall Gallery hosts an opening art party for Windows to the Unexpected by Spanish artist duo Albarrán Cabrera. This is the fourth solo presentation with the gallery. The exhibit features work from the series The Indestructible, alongside art created during their collaborative history. The solo show takes place in conjunction with the release of their eighth artist book. An Octopus Theatricals Production presents Patrick Page in a one man show. All The Devils Are Here: How Shakespeare Invented The Villain will run from January 15-25, 2026 at the main theatre at BroadStage. Tony Award® Nominee and Grammy Award® Winner Patrick Page knows how to sink his teeth into the true meaning of being a villain. There will be a 15-20 minute talkback with Patrick to explore the world of Shakespeare’s villains and his relationship to them more intimately. Downtown

Gallery Luisotti holds an opening art party tonight to honor the photography of Ron Jude. The artist continues his exploration of his series 12 Hz. While his last exhibition focused on the mechanics of our planet, the new one brings together images of rocks and water. Dubbed Low Tide, the title refers to the actual subject matter of many of the images.

Walter Maciel Gallery welcomes new exhibitions – Lezley Saar: Color Me Baddd and Sóla Saar: 92 Tarot Collages and a Dollhouse. LA based artist Lezley Saar enjoys her fourth solo show with the gallery. The exhibition includes works from two series: Color Me Baddd and Rap Thugs-n-Dimes and features small and large-format portraits. The works explore the intertwined concepts of colorism, privilege and representation.

Moreover 92 Tarot Collages and a Dollhouse is the  first solo show at Walter Maciel Gallery for Los Angeles based artist and writer Sóla Saar.
