Regen Projects debuts #34 by Rebecca Morris. This is the first solo Los Angeles art exhibition by the artist with the gallery. An opening reception takes place on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 6-8pm. The gallery will also host an art talk on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 11am.

The name of the exhibition references the artist’s thirty-fourth solo presentation of her career. The artist has earned international recognition for advancing non-objective abstraction through distinctive Rebecca Morris paintings. She has developed her refined yet experimental practice over three decades.
Moreover the exhibition emphasize sMorris’s mastery of harmony and disruption within contemporary abstraction. Here visual motifs reveal an internal language, allowing the viewer the chance to embark on their own experience. Compositional grids are interrupted, unconventional materials are introduced, and historical art dialogues are actively reimagined. Her process-based technique includes diluted oil paints, wet-into-wet application, and meticulously hand-drawn precision.
About Rebecca Morris
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1969, Morris’ lives and works in Los Angeles. Solo shows have previously been staged at the Blaffer Art Museum, Bonnefanten Museum, LAXART, and The Renaissance Society. Her paintings have also been featured in important group exhibitions such as Made in L.A. at the Hammer Museum and the Whitney Biennial.

Museum collections worldwide hold Rebecca Morris paintings, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, Art Institute of Chicago, and Hammer Museum. Awards from the Guggenheim Foundation and the Joan Mitchell Foundation have further affirmed her influence.
Through #34, Morris presents her evolving vision for renewed critical attention within the global contemporary art scene. The exhibition runs through October 25, 2025. Gallery Hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–6pm.
