Lois Lambert Gallery debuted three new exhibitions on May 20, 2023. Martiros Adalian’s solo exhibition titled Composed Serenity opened as well as Currents by Kinetic sculptor Jim Jenkins. Also in the upstairs gallery, Kyong Boon Oh: Walk Slowly – Unknown Path. All of the exhibitions run through July 8, 2023. See below for info on the artists, and the gallery.

About Martiros Adalian
Adalian is a mixed media artist. He uses acrylic, oil, and spray paint to create a multi-dimensional and multi-textual effect that adds a sense of motion and energy to his pieces.

About Kinetic sculptor Jim Jenkins
Jenkins is most interested in the process of creating something that has never existed before. He sculpts inanimate objects from metal, wood, and plastics thus bringing them to life with motors and counter-weights, carefully orchestrating the movement of each object.

About Kyong Boon Oh
Methodically and repetitiously, Oh weaves together threads of wire to create forms that are intertwined in complexity and order.

About the Gallery

Lois Lambert Gallery first opened in 1987, using the name Gallery of Functional Art. It was the original tenant as well as the first gallery to open in the Frank Gehry’s Edgemar building in Santa Monica, California. Then in 1994, Lois moved the gallery to Bergamot Station Arts Center and opened as Lois Lambert Gallery. The gallery exhibits painting, sculpture, mixed media, and photography. In an adjacent space the Gallery Store also opened, featuring high design and artist-made objects. Then The Project Room was conceived, offering a more intimate space for additional exhibitions. Finally in 2017, the Upstairs Gallery was created as well, adding event more space to exhibit art.

Lois Lambert Gallery represents over 75 artists from the United States, Latin America, South America, Europe and Asia, and is dedicated to bringing thoughtful, sometimes provocative, and always original art to the public.
